Part of the innovative Roosevelt Island New Town in New York City, the Motorgate parking structure houses the cars of all residents and visitors to this community, designed to be free of traffic.

The structure, situated on an island in Manhattan’s east River, is of pre-cast pre-stressed concrete and has a 1030 car capacity. The design achieves a visually rich appearance at a low cost and affords the possibility of future expansion to hold an additional 1000 cars.

The facility also provides 48,000 sf of commercial space, a fire station, a Post Office and a vacuum trash removal system to serve the town.
