
Mr. Scarlett has over twenty five years of experience in architectural design, construction, and project management.
In 1982, Mr. Scarlett received his professional Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Oregon School of Architecture. While at the University he assisted in teaching first year design studio and construction materials and process. In Boston, he has both taught and been a guest critic at the Boston Architectural Center.
After graduation, Mr. Scarlett worked for a small design firm, designing and building residential projects in New York City and Connecticut. Relocating to Boston in 1985, he joined the design firm of Amsler Hagenah & McLean Inc., where he designed and managed a variety of major local projects. In 1986 he became a registered architect in the State of Massachusetts and in 1988, joined Kallmann McKinnell & Wood.
Starting in 2003 Tim took an extended leave of absence to work with the Spanish architect Rafael Moneo on a new laboratory building for Harvard University. Tim’s roll on the project was project architect for the architects of record. With the projects recent completion Tim has returned to KMW where he will continue his role as project architect as well as direct the firm’s professional development and quality control.

Mr. Scarlett spent four summers during his education working on a variety of construction sites in both Massachusetts and Oregon. He also received the following Design Competition Awards:
