Washington University, St. Louis, Social Sciences & Law Building Harry & Susan Seigle Hall

The Social Sciences & Law Building is a new multi-disciplinary academic classroom and office facility located on a prominent site in the western portion of the center of the architecturally distinctive Hilltop Campus, and also within sight of a major urban intersection in St. Louis.

The building accommodates programs for the School of Law and the Departments of Economics, Political Sciences, and Education within the School of Arts & Sciences. The facility features 13 flexible flat-floor classrooms seating from 30 to 60 students. The building provides a new home for a variety of centers from both Law and Arts & Sciences: Weidenbaum Center, the Center for New Institutional Social Sciences, the Law Centers for Interdisciplinary Studies, Global Legal Studies, and Intellectual Property, and the Richard Gephardt Center for Public Policy. This three-story (plus lower level) building, designed in the style of its historic neighbors, opened in September 2008.
